A DONE-WITH-YOU LIMITED-ENROLLMENT COHORT PROGRAM

The Strategic Podcast

Launch Studio

Let's co-create a podcast that works even harder than you do.

A six-week, small-group podcast development experience for founders, entrepreneurs, experts and thought leaders who want to turn what they know into a podcast that builds relationships, authority, trust…and their business.

Table of contents

  • Your podcast shouldn't (and doesn't have to ) be a second full-time job.

Your podcast shouldn't (and doesn't have to) be a second full-time job.

Your podcast should make your life easier and work harder than you to earn its keep.

You already have enough places you're obligated to show up: LinkedIn, Instagram, newsletters, websites, speaking engagements, client calls…to say nothing of the non-work things your life requires of you. The last thing you need is another hungry content mouth to feed.

You hear a lot about the things you're supposed to be doing. "Experts" and influencers yapping endlessly about how you need more, publish more, be everywhere, get on video, grow your following, appease the algorithm and somehow also run your actual business.

I am here to tell you it's ok to opt out of the content rat race. At the risk of sounding like a late-night infomercial: there's a better way.

You're not wrong to have had that podcast idea stuck in your head for years like a catchy K-pop song.

Done strategically and with intention, a podcast can be one of your most valuable business assets.

How your podcast can work for you…

rather than the other way around

1 podcast episode fuels:

A newsletter

A sales email

A LinkedIn post

A short video clip*

An SEO article

A workshop for your ideal clients

A sales conversation

An idea for a speaking engagement

*even if your podcast is audio only—in the Studio you'll learn how

And opens otherwise locked doors to…

Buyers at a business you'd love to work with

Potential collaborators you've tried to reach with thoughtful outreach that went unnoticed

That prospect you scared away with a sales-y cold email

A potential referral partner who doesn't yet see your value

A decisionmaker at a conference or other visibility platform

….to name just a few who will eagerly respond to your catnip question: "want to be on my podcast?"

Your podcast works even harder than you do

Your podcast = the rich engine of your content flywheel

A podcast is a warm, ownable platform on which you get to demonstrate how you think in order to build trust with future clients and create a body of work that lives in many places, spreading the ideas you want to be known for.

This is how your podcast can and should work even harder than you do.

And this is the idea upon which I founded The Strategic Podcast Launch Studio.

WHY THE LAUNCH STUDIO IS A WORTHY INVESTMENT

Six weeks of intentional work now can save you a whole lot of flailing and winging it later.

I've worked with enough podcasters to know that a lot of the stress comes from having to make every decision over and over again.

  • What should I talk about this week?
  • Who should I invite?
  • How long should an episode be?
  • Why do I need video? (Or do I even need it?)
  • How often am I supposed to publish?
  • Where (and how) do I distribute the episode?

And, perhaps most importantly:

Is any of this actually helping my business?

The Studio is where we ask and answer those questions before you're staring down a publishing deadline…or worse, an empty content calendar and an empty pipeline because you'd planned to let your podcast do the heavy lifting but forgot to build a solid foundation to support it.

In the The Studio, we'll spend six focused, highly intentional weeks building the strategy, format, editorial point of view, production rhythm and business flywheel around your show so you can exhale and work at a rhythm that suits you…not some ill-fitting algorithmic costume that wasn't designed for you in the first place.

The Studio asks you to think strategically now so that everything that follows is much easier.

Who this is for

The Studio is for entrepreneurs, consultants, experts, mission-driven creators and thought leaders who have something meaningful to say and want their podcast to support something bigger.

Maybe you've been kicking around a podcast idea for three (or seven?) years.

Maybe you have twelve ideas and need someone to help you figure out which one has legs.

Maybe you know exactly what you want to make and have somehow managed to find a trillion other "crucial" things to do before actually making it.

Welcome.

You don't need to arrive with a perfect concept, or a perfect background for video.

You do need to be willing to think, experiment, take feedback and make something.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE LAUNCH STUDIO…GOES FAR AND WIDE

Here's what we'll do together.

First, we'll figure out what your podcast is actually supposed to do.

Who is it for? What do you want it to make possible? What do you want to become known for? Who do you want to know?

We'll connect your podcast to your bigger goals and develop a clear audience, purpose and promise for the show.

Because "I want to start a podcast about leadership" is an idea…that's already been tried 10 thousand times before.

Knowing exactly why your leadership podcast needs to exist and what you want it to do for you, and how it will succeed in doing its job is an actual STRATEGY.

Then we'll find the version of the podcast that fits you.

Interview show? Solo? Co-hosted? Short voice-note dispatches? A mix?

Weekly? Biweekly? Seasonal?

Audio? Video? Both?

While most people have a pretty static idea of what a podcast should be (thanks to the loudmouths who put podcasting on the map in the first place—it has to be said), there's nothing sacrosanct about how podcasting has looked for those high-gloss, high-velocity shows dominating the charts and feeds.

In reality, a podcast is a beautifully malleable thing, and that's what I love most about it. We'll use its malleability to your advantage and build around your ideas, your goals, your resources and your actual life.

Why is the Studio the right move for your podcast?

Because proven expertise + other smart people make your ideas better.

Test your concept.

Pressure-test your title, positioning, and promise.

Find collaborators (who will become your cheerleaders).

Meet potential guests.

Borrow other people's brains.

Get unstuck faster.

BUILDING THE RIGHT PODCAST FOR YOUR GOALS

We'll make your podcast unmistakably yours in every way.

Your schedule, your voice, your goals, your resources, and… Your POV.

What does your industry get wrong? What hill will you die on? What advice drives you crazy? What do people always ask you about? What could you rant about for an unreasonable amount of time if someone made the mistake of getting you started?

Your expertise gives you something to talk about.

Your take helps you stand out from the crowd.

Your perspective gives people a reason to listen to you talk about it.

Then we'll make your podcast earn its keep.

We'll design the ecosystem around your show so that one conversation can fuel many prongs of your business and content flywheel. And we'll think beyond content. Your podcast will be the incubator of the ideas that propel the rest of how you show up in the world…

Relationships. Clients. Speaking. Partnerships. Authority. Referrals. Thought leadership.

Downloads are one (frankly irrelevant, for the most part) measure of podcast success. We'll find YOUR measures of success—and draw a path to them that's a much straighter line than you might realize.

And then we'll actually launch the damn thing.

You will have timelines, templates, accountability, safe spaces to be bad at it in the beginning. You will have me. And you'll have a very small, curated group of fellow smart and supportive people building alongside you.

We'll move from strategy to format to development to production to launch, with support and feedback throughout.

I built the foundation for The Studio on everything that has resulted in the biggest breakthroughs in my prior launch cohorts—and no time-wasting fluff. It's designed to ensure you'll end up with a real podcast in the world and a plan for keeping it there.

WHAT YOUR PODCAST DOESN'T HAVE TO DO

A few podcast "rules" to challenge…

You have to publish weekly or perish.

Says who?

Your podcast has a very different job to do than say, Joe Rogan's.

Every podcast needs video now.

Why?

The best-converting podcasts often are audio-only.

Success means growing a huge audience.

To what end?

You need a fancy studio and expensive equipment.

For this podcast? In this economy?

Presence beats polish, and perfection is off-putting.

A podcast designed to bring the right 20 people into your orbit has a very different job from one designed to attract 200,000 listeners and sell the latest Casper mattress (or for my OG podcast fans…MailChimp?).

That's why we start with strategy.

And end with an actual PODCAST.

WHAT YOU'LL WALK AWAY WITH

At the end of six weeks, you'll have a launched or launch-ready podcast with:

A clear strategic foundation

Your audience, promise, title, positioning and what ROI needs to look like to make all of this worth it.

A format designed around your capacity

Cadence, episode structure, audio/video approach and a production rhythm you can realistically sustain.

Clarity on your differentiated point of view

The ideas and perspective that make the show distinctly yours.

An actual real, live podcast

With a produced trailer, title that fits your POV, cover art, and a feed you can share with the world.

A podcast flywheel

A plan for turning your episodes into content, relationships, authority and business opportunities.

A sustainable roadmap to ROI

Including your production process and your own easy-mode options for the weeks when life inevitably starts life-ing.

INTRODUCING THE STUDIO FOUNDER

If we haven't met… Hi, I'm Courtney.

I've been developing audio and podcasts since before most people knew what a podcast was.

I've launched shows for Spotify, TLC, Audible and, yes, literal royalty: I executive produced and launched Meghan Markle's Archetypes at Spotify. I've also helped redevelop shows for a Fortune 100 tech company, and an MS NOW personality.

These days, my favorite people to work with are my own version of my own version of royalty: founders, entrepreneurs, consultants, creators and thought leaders who have something worth saying and would prefer podcasting didn't become another full-time job.

I'm also a business owner making my own podcast while running my company and raising a family, so I have an extremely low tolerance for advice that assumes you have unlimited time, money, energy or a Spotify-sized production team.

I want to help you build the podcast that actually works for the business and life you have, not some

(session timing to be confirmed by cohort survey)

FAQ

Frequently Unasked

Highly Relevant Questions

When exactly does this cohort happen?

Part of that is up to you, but The Launch Studio runs for six weeks, with live sessions (masterclasses + open Q&A/office hours) during the weeks of Sept. 21–Oct. 26. Most of the work happens live during those six weeks, with a 30-day post-cohort momentum check-in in late November for removing roadblocks, bragging, sharing, brainstorming…

As for the exact timing of the sessions, I'll be polling the cohort once we're locked in to see what is the consensus (or closest-to-consensus) best time for all.

How much time do I need to commit to the Studio?

That's largely up to you, but I'll provide a container that includes:

  • Weekly live learning sessions (~1.5 hours each)
  • Open Q&A hours for you to come with your questions…or just learn from others (~1 hour each)
  • Two dedicated 30-minute 1:1 sessions with me to roll up our sleeves on your exact needs for your podcast
  • Concentrated time for your weekly assignments, ranging from recording a voice note to me explaining your show to brainstorming (and whittling down a list of) titles & taglines…but we'll also build in plenty of time for all of this in the sessions themselves.

I don't have my podcast idea (or launch time, or format) figured out yet. Can I join?

Absolutely. Developing and pressure-testing your idea is part of the Studio.

That said, it does help to have a strong sense of what you care about and how it differs from the normal conventional wisdom. We'll work from there.

Do I HAVE to launch my podcast by the end of the cohort?

Absolutely not. If the timing is not right for you, in fact, most folks do not immediately shift into full-on podcasting mode at the conclusion of the cohort.

The promise of the Studio is that you'll have everything you need for a live podcast presence (including a pressure-tested concept and title, cover art, trailer, and a strategy for what comes next) for when you are ready to go for it.

Also: you will have access to all of the session recordings and resources ongoing (they're yours to download and keep). The last thing I want to do is rush something as important as your podcast.

I don't have time to make a weekly podcast.

Nor should you, necessarily. Starting a podcast does not mean you're automatically obligated to be "always on" or assume the identity of a full-time podcaster.

Once we've determined what your version of ROI looks like, we'll together figure out a release rhythm you can realistically sustain and still get back more than you put into your podcast.

Do I have to do video?

Nope. We'll decide whether video earns its keep for your particular podcast and goals. And a hybrid approach is an option, too.

The tech of it all is scary to me. Does that mean I can't do it?

Nope again. I'll help you understand the technology you actually need and figure out what makes sense for you to DIY, delegate, or simplify.

Who will actually make this thing?

You have options, and I will walk you through them as the trusty seeing-eye-dog that I am.

  • Want to DIY? Cool! I'd love to show you how you can do that. It's easier than you think–but also does require your precious time. Something to weigh.
  • Want to hand off to a professional? Great! I have a curated database of podcast editors and podcast managers I would be delighted to refer you to. They range in price from $65/episode on up.

What if I need more support after the six weeks?

Not to worry. I won't be immediately cutting you off once our final session has concluded.

  • You'll have continuing access to our Circle platform and all of the session recordings (including office hours and our 1:1s)
  • We'll reconvene as a cohort 30 days later for a Launch Studio "reunite and reignite" session for bragging, roadblock-bemoaning, and general podcast camaraderie.
  • AND you can use your included 1:1 sessions with me for the full month after the Studio ends.

But wait, there's more: I'm also developing an always-on community that will be a place for support and continued learning, including in sessions with me and other podcasting industry experts. Stay tuned!

How many spots are left?

The Studio is officially halfway full! I keep each cohort intentionally limited so there's room for meaningful feedback, conversation, hands-on co-creation, and individual attention.

When will the next Launch Studio cohort run?

There isn't another Launch Studio planned for 2026.

What if I have a specific question I need answered before I can make a decision?

Ask away! Seriously. If there's something specific to your podcast, business, schedule, or situation that you need to know before deciding whether the Launch Studio is a fit for what you're looking to achieve, by all means drop me an email (or a text, or a voice note, if you already have my digits 😊).

YOUR LAUNCH TO UNMATCHED ROI

Your podcast could be the highest-ROI asset in your business.

The employee that works across departments.

Tirelessly generating leads, creating content, building your authority on multiple channels—all while you're having a great conversation with a fellow mover-and-shaker.

The deal-closer that doesn’t require another meeting.

Letting prospective clients hear how you think, and gain trust in your expertise before they ever get on a call with you.

The body-of-work builder that doubles as your content engine.

Turning one conversation into newsletters, social posts, videos, articles, talks, and the Big Idea you want to be known for.

The door-opener.

A magnetic reason to start conversations with people who might otherwise never return your calls (harsh but true: nothing beats the leader-catnip question of "want to be on my podcast?").

Let's build it together.

The Strategic Podcast Launch Studio begins the week of September 21 and only 2 spots remain…
